Bag design & Sketches
Every bag creation begins with a sketch or mood board depicting the desired bag and inspiration. Whether you have a specific bag in mind to replicate, or simply an idea in your head, it all starts with a sketch.
You can send us a simple drawing annotated with your requirements and preferences, and we will develop it further with a more formal design visual, incorporating suggestions and alternative options if necessary.
Additionally, it is important to consider the intended use of the bag, who will use it, and what purpose it will serve, as these factors influence decisions such as the best fabric or fastening to use.
Materials and Hardwear Selection
- Once the look of the bag, its dimensions, closure method, and strap length have been determined, the next step is to choose the fabric for the bag. This includes deciding on the type of straps, whether they are made of PU or cotton webbing, and whether there will be one or two straps, and their length – long, short, or both.
- When it comes to selecting the fabric, both the purpose of the bag and budget are important factors to consider. Sample Creation from Paper Mould
Crafting the sample begins with a paper mould. Accurate fabric calculations and refined details, specified zip and Pantone-matching are done. Poppers, labels, zip pulls, and dyed fabric matching the approved swatch are produced. Fabric is then dried, prepped, and returned to the factory.
Sample Crafting with Precision
The sample-making process is based on the paper mold as a guide. Fabric measurements are taken with precision and all details are refined. If zip is part of the design, its length is determined and sourced. The zip can be Pantone-matched if necessary. Embossed poppers and woven labels or customized zip pulls will be manufactured after sample approval. The fabric is then dyed to match the approved swatch, dried, and sent back to the factory for cutting.
Bag Assembly Schedule Planning
The sewing stations needed for each bag, the order of sewing different sections, and the number of workers involved will be determined. All aspects of bag assembly, including attaching badges, installing zips, and more, will be scheduled. The production manager will also keep in mind other ongoing bag projects and allocate production slots accordingly.
Assembling the Bag: A Team Effort
The task of putting all the elements of the bag together requires the efforts of a team. This involves cutting and decorating the panels, as well as sewing everything together. The work is performed at designated assembly stations and carried out by an experienced team who have done it all before and there isn’t a bag they haven’t made.

Quality Control Process for Bag Production: Initial Inspection and Final Auditing
The Quality Control Manager begins by checking the first bags produced on the line to ensure that the production process is functioning smoothly. Assembly begins with the team cutting loose threads and closely monitoring the order, guided by a checklist that covers print direction, hardware placement, zips, handle length, reinforced handle stitching, linings, pockets, and more.
The final quality control check is conducted once all bags are constructed and complete, including all specified elements, with no loose threads or imperfect print. For orders over 5000 units, an internationally recognized external audit team examines the assembled bags during production and prior to packing, and you can suggest what they should check.
Packing & Shipping
Bags go through the Ironing and Preparation stage and are then packed based on the order specifications, placed in compostable bags for protection, and finally placed in predetermined-size cardboard shipping cartons.
The packing list gives the number of units per carton, such as 60 units per carton or 10 cartons (600 units total), and the compostable bag helps keep your order dry and free of any unwanted odors during transit.
Shipping orders of over 500 units by sea proves more economical and environmentally friendly, taking 5-6 weeks for delivery. Our export shipping containers depart from China 2-3 times every week and you can either pick up your package from the port or have it delivered to your address.
If you wish to receive a portion of your order prior to the full shipment, speak with your project manager. We offer storage options for clients who order large quantities of bags but don’t need them all at once, with a small storage fee and shipping charged at cost.
