Your company needs a vision board. It’s not just a pretty picture. It represents your company’s direction. It should reflect your brand’s personality, what your brand stands for, and the values your brand holds most dear. The vision board acts as your compass through thick and thin. It helps you understand who you are, what you’re good at, what you need to improve, and where you want to go.
What is it that makes a shoe fit your brand? Let’s take the classic example: sneakers. Many people want to wear sneakers that fit well to be comfortable. These sneaker consumers want their shoes to look sharp, be versatile, and not be too uncomfortable. What kind of sneaker do you think fits best into an excellent but not too trendy brand? What kind of sneaker is best for a brand that wants to be in style while still standing out from the crowd?
Before getting started, you need to determine precisely what your goals are. This includes determining what types of shoes you want to own. Are you looking for more formal shoes or comfortable casual sneakers? Do you want to buy a new shoe collection or pick up some trendy styles?
You might feel like you’re going through many shoes at a time to find the perfect pair for your brand, but there is a suitable choice for every brand and occasion. The first rule in finding the right shoe for your brand: You must understand your brand and its key personality traits and values, and you must have a good understanding of the shoes you want to wear.
Suppose your brand has a particular vibe or aesthetic. In that case, you’ll need to identify specific characteristics and colors that you want to have in your collection, as well as styles and silhouettes that are best suited for your brand. But don’t worry about having the “perfect” shoe collection yet — you’ll only have the best pair that fits your needs at that point.
The style of your business is just as important as the color. When deciding on the style of your shoe brand, you should consider a few factors: whether you want your business to be classic, modern, sporty, or something else entirely, where you see your business in the future, and who are your target customers?
I often tell my clients and students that establishing a shoe collection takes at least 5 pairs of shoes. I firmly believe in that rule because I wear many different sizes and brands. If you’re trying to establish a shoe collection, I highly recommend you choose the correct size because your brand needs to look consistent across all its products.
To create a perfect pair of shoes, you need to follow these 3 simple rules:
1. Pay close attention to fit: Do the shoes fit well, and does the fit feel comfortable, or does it make you feel self-conscious?
2. Look for comfort: Look at the shoe’s cushioning. Does it provide the proper support for your feet, and is it comfortable, or do you feel like you’re walking on a bed of nails?
3. Think about the future: Will you still want the shoe after a few months? This is especially important if you’re active or plan to wear the shoe for an extended period.
In conclusion, a brand is more than just the name of a business; it’s the identity you create for yourself. A brand can be a personality, a style, a philosophy, an art form, a lifestyle, a promise, a vision, or a mission. This is why it’s essential to be clear about your brand. If you aren’t, you’ll create a shoe collection that doesn’t align with your brand, which could cost you business. A great brand is the foundation of a successful business, so don’t build a brand without thinking about who you are and what you want to accomplish.
